Mindful Walk Through The Forest And Tour Of Your Internal World

The Forest

Where: Forest Park in Queens, NY
(Meet at Metropolitan Avenue and Forest Park Drive entrance to park.)

When: 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on Sunday, August 9th.
(Walk into the forest begins around 2:45 pm to give time for people to get there.)

We will have a group conversation with our thoughts, feelings, and instincts as we walk through the forest trails.
This conversation will be led by international inspirational life guide, speaker, author, and personality expert Jonathan R. Wachtel, and it will be facilitated by the trees, birds, butterflies, chipmunks, squirrels, sky, and the rest of the world around us.

We will set some positive emotional destinations and redirect any old, incompatible destinations we’ve previously set with the focus of our attention. We’ll cultivate a positive, attentive, and communicative relationship with ourselves that will involve addressing various areas of our lives, e.g. health, living situation, family, career, financial situation, friendships, relationships, etc.

This walk through the forest and tour of your internal world will be mindful, magical, and transformative.

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are good for hiking.

Background Info:
Our thoughts, feelings, and instincts and all of our experiences in this world are not us, that we should identify with them, and they are not random or meaningless; they are purposeful and meaningful forms of communication with us about us. When we recognize this and acknowledge and take responsibility for what we have been making ourselves think, feel, and want, we can respond appropriately with the apologies, appreciation, and actions that we actually want from ourselves.

Once we get what we want from ourselves, we get this from the people and the world outside us as they reflect our response to, and new treatment of, ourselves. In other words, we have complete control over transforming our experience of life, and no one and nothing needs to change in order for us to get what we want. We need only acknowledge that everything that’s being said by our thoughts, feelings, instincts, and our experiences with the people and the world around us is about us, and respond appropriately, and the experiential response is immediate, and this is then reflected in our interactions with everyone and everything in our lives.
